To celebrate its grand opening, GPCC member Providence Power Yoga is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, July 25 at 1:15 p.m., followed by light refreshments. Mayor Angel Taveras will attend the ceremony, which will take place at 51 Bassett Street, where all are invited to stop by and join in the festivities. The celebration will continue later the same day with an open house reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Providence Power Yoga (PPY) practices heated vinyasa with many classes in the style of heated Baptiste power yoga. JoEllen Hockenbrough, Founder of PPY invites students of all levels to come and check out the studio. “Providence Power Yoga has some of the area’s best yoga teachers utilizing a beautiful space. We are thrilled to be part of the Providence and Knowledge District community. I look forward to sharing with students not only the changes that can occur physically, but also the shifting of how they perceive themselves and the world around them.”
Providence Power Yoga studio is located in the historic Jewelry/Knowledge district of Providence. The location is ideal for those living, working and studying in the downtown Providence area. ”There is generous space for students to practice and our NEW heat and humidity system –set at 95 degrees– will keep you sweating year round, ” stated Hockenbrough. ”Our studio is light, calm and peaceful. The large open reception area is welcoming and we have generous space to relax before class, change clothes and store your gear. Our PPY studio was certainly a labor of love, perseverance and desire to share this amazing transformational practice with anyone who walks through our doors.”
