New Providence College Men’s Basketball Coach Added to Speaking Program at RIBX 2011

Newly appointed Providence College Men’s Basketball Coach Ed Cooley will share his keys to motivation and achievement with audiences at the Rhode Island Business EXPO (RIBX), formerly Business EXPO, when he takes the stage at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 at the Rhode Island Convention Center. This will be one of Cooley’s first public appearances in Rhode Island since being named the 15th head coach at Providence College in March. The event is free to the public with a business card.

As the event’s afternoon keynote speaker, Cooley is expected to give a high level motivational presentation highlighting the importance of hard work and dedication as the fundamentals for success, whether you are on the court or in the office.

“We are truly excited to provide the opportunity for Ed Cooley to talk about how he has been able to inspire student athletes both on and off the court to succeed,” said Laurie White, president of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce. “There is no doubt that his presentation and message of focus and dedication as tools of development will certainly resonate with audience members representing businesses both large and small at RIBX.”

Cooley, a native of Providence, came to PC after spending the last five seasons as the head coach at Fairfield University. He attended Central High School and earned two Rhode Island High School Player of the Year honors before attending Stonehill College.
