IBM Marketing Head Addresses Crowd @RIBX

Highlighting 100 years of successful business, Jon Iwata, svp of marketing at IBM addressed the RIBX crowds about seeing and seizing moments of transition.

During his standing room only presentation Jon credited Bing Crosby with changing the face of data storage and eventually how IBM conducted business.

Today, the company is focused on looking at transitions as opportunities…including cloud computing, social media and big data

IBM’s latest big data storage project… Watson…. recently outplayed two of the top winners of Jeopardy.

The next iteration of the company, Jon said, will be using Watson for real world applications including health care.

It’s fascinating stuff!
