More KE Dollars Being Invested in RI

The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, the City of Providence, Innovation Providence Implementation Council and The Rhode Island Foundation are joining together to invest more funding in the state’s Knowledge Economy.

The community is invited to attend the announcement of the next phase of investments in projects that have been identified as promising economic opportunities that can expand key industries and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of the city and state on Wednesday, May 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Johnson & Wales University Harborside Campus, The Cuisinart Center for Culinary Excellence, 333 Shipyard Street, Providence.

A total of $110,000 raised from the Rhode Island Foundation, Providence Economic Development Partnership and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce will be awarded to accelerate projects in the following priority industry targets: Healthcare, Medical Devices and Rehabilitation Services, Design, Alternative Energy, Entrepreneurship and Workforce Development.
