Ned Handy Recipient 2011 New England Public Service Award

The RI business community came out in force today to honor Ned Handy, President of Citizens Bank Rhode Island and Connecticut, as he was awarded the 2011 New England Public Servant Award on behalf of Phoenix House.

Phoenix House serves more than 5300 individuals each day through more than 120 programs in eleven states and is known as an innovative leader in substance abuse prevention, education and treatment.  The Phoenix House tribute to Ned chronicled his outstanding record of leadership and public service to many worthy non profits in New England. Ned, among his many community commitments, serves as a Director on the GPCC Board.

Kudos to Ned and his colleagues at Citizens Bank, for their dedicated efforts on behalf of our citizens in need.
