You’re invited to a Better World By Design 2011 Conference Sept 30 – Oct 2

Each year, A Better World by Design brings a global community of innovators to Providence, Rhode Island to reach across disciplines and unite under a common goal: reshaping our built environment. Presenters share engaging stories, workshops teach creative skills, and discussions re-frame perspectives. Better World is an immersive experience that deepens our understanding of the power of design, technology, and enterprise to engage our communities and sustain our environment.

A Better World by Design is a completely student-organized conference that places innovation and impact over individual success. We have developed a collaborative platform to encourage the free sharing of ideas among multiple disciplines – engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, policy makers, academics, and students, to name a few – in order to produce tangible change locally and globally. The conference exposes participants to a variety of perspectives, both theoretical and practical, on some of the most pressing current issues. By attending the conference, participants will meet hundreds of inspiring professionals and students at daytime discussions and workshops, or the Friday and Saturday night social events, two perennial highlights for our attendees. At Better World, any casual conversation can spark opportunities for collaboration; with over 1,000 attendees, you are sure to meet someone who can help move your initiative forward.

We have built a worldwide network of social innovators because we believe in thinking globally and acting locally. A Better World by Design creates connections to make our world a better place.
